ShopKo was a Midwestern department store with major hometown love. They were staples in the community, but financial woes in 2019 forced them to file for bankruptcy. Oddly enough though, the one department that was not just hanging on, but actually thriving was the optical department. When they came to us with the challenge of spinning up a fresh brand that was still rooted in the tradition that patrons know and love, we accepted with open eyes.
